Porec is a town where the Romans left deep traces, as can be seen in the typical Roman lay out of Cardo and Decumanus streets. The Byzantine Euphrasius’ Basilica with its rich mosaics is among the most beautiful examples of mosaic art in Europe and is a Unesco protected monument. There are a host of excellent restaurants to enjoy as well as numerous boutiques tucked away down little stone alleyways. During the summer you can take a day trip to Venice on fast boats (about 2 hours). A villa near Porec allows you to enjoy all this as, well the beautiful coastline; the sea is never far away and you should not miss the Blue and Green Lagoons, or Pical and Spadici beaches. The airport of Pula is about 1 hour away and an easy drive to any of our Porec villas.
