Makarska Villa
CLICK HERE FOR MORE VILLAS IN MAKARSKA
When you rent a Makarska villa through Croatian Affair, you can be assured of its standards. We only select a handful out of the many that we view as potential properties for our holiday programme. In addition it is then inspected every year before the season begins, to ensure that all its facilities are in full working order. Finally, our staff in London will also each Makarska villa in our programme, so that they can give you a personal and correct impression of the property, so that you can be sure that you will get the right place for you.

One of the benefits of staying in a Makarska villa is the ability to prepare your own meals at the property. It is normal for a villa in Makarska to have a fully equipped kitchen with cooker pus often a microwave. However on warm summer evenings the best way to enjoy your meal is to use the outside barbecue, which is a great tradition in Croatia; grilled meats or fish accompanied by red wine such as Postup, babic, Plavac or Dingac and white wine such as Posip, Bogdanusa or Grk. Meals are often started with local prosciutto ham, cheeses and olives. You can finish off your meal with a glass of the strong and sweet desert wine Prosek.

From your Makarska villa you can enjoy one of the many, lovely beaches on this part of the coast which is only about 1 hour 30 minutes south of Split. The beaches are pebble or shingle and are clean and safe for children of all ages. In particular you can enjoy the ones at Brela, Baska Voda or Bratus. You will normally find a seaside restaurant to relax in during the middle of the day. If you are feeling energetic there are plenty of activities you can enjoy on the River Cetina; you can go rafting or canoeing and afterwards picnics are organised on the riverside. Also you can venture into the Biokovo National Park for some serious hiking; but this is rewarded with spectacular views along the Makarska coastline.

Some of our Makarska villas have a swimming pool, so in between all this activity, you can just lie down on your sunbed and relax, occasionally stirring only enough to cool off in the pool. In the evenings Makarska Town has lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from, and many of the bars have local musicians playing until late into the night.
