Podobuce is a small picturesque village with a lovely pebble beach in the most beautiful bay nestled below sloping vineyards on the southern part of Peljesac peninsula. This particular area is well known as the best wine region in Croatia, with famous vineyards of the indigenous Plavac Mali grape, which produces deep, ruby red wines such as Dingac and Postup. The village is a collection of old stone houses, that blend beautifully with their natural surroundings.

Right on the beach, in a superb location, is this charming and simple cottage with a great terrace just a few feet from the sea where the water is inviting and safe. Next door, is a small restaurant called 'Molovran' run by the family who own the property. Here the food is dependent on season with locally grown vegetables, olives and fruit along with freshly caught fish and grilled meat served with the regional wines. 9 km away, you will find a good range of shops, bars and restuarants in Orebic; this is full of character and has a delightful seaside promenade along which you can stroll, or stop for lunch or dinner overlooking the sea. From Orebic are regular and frequent ferries that take 20 minutes to get you to the medevial town of Korcula which is full of interesting, medieval architecture.

DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION

You enter this simple house via the seaside terrrace which has table and chairs right beside the beach. On the ground floor is a small dining area with small table and chairs; adjacent is the kitchen with fridge, oven, hob and cooker. Upstairs is a double bedroom with extra single bed and sea views, plus a twin bedroom also with sea views. On this floor there is a bathroom/wc. You need to park your car 50 metres from the cottage.
