We have something very special to offer – a holiday on an Island all to yourself! The Island is part of the magnificent Kornati archipelago which consists of 152 islands and islets; the majority of which are part of National park Kornati, one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in Croatia. This area of the Adriatic is not only rich geographically, but also has a very rich submarine flora and fauna, a paradise for divers. Kornati islands are not inhabited, the only ‘permanent residents’ here are sheep, owned by people from Murter, who also have their vineyards and olive groves on the islands. Murter men are also well-known as good fishermen and have little fisherman cottages on the islands. Some of the cottages have recently been converted to holiday cottages for tourists who want to feel what it is like to be ‘one’ with nature, the sea and sun. The cottage is simple and only uses solar power for electricity and hot water. But if you want a unique experience Zakan is the perfect choice.

DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION

Zakan is located on the island with the same name (Kameni Zakan in Croatian) which is about 4km in circumference and 1km in diameter. What makes it different to most other holiday cottages scattered around the Kornati Islands is the fact that it is the only property on the island. Yes, you will have the whole Island to yourself. But there is no lack of water or electric power in the house – solar panels provide electricity for lighting and mobile phone chargers, running water in the house comes from big tanks, the water for showers is heated naturally from the sun’s energy.

The property consists of an open plan living area with a kitchen, equipped with a gas cooker, gas refrigirator, sink with running water and cupboards. There is one double bedroom and two bedrooms both with bunk beds. There is a shower room/wc in the property. At the front of the house is a sitting out terrace with wonderful views.
