The countryside surounding this beautiful property is probably the most picturesque part of Istria, with rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive groves dotted with little hamlets. The old hillside village of Momjan is a centre of local wine production with many wine cellars in the vicinity of the property where you can taste and purchase wine directly. The most famous are Kozlovic and Kabola wineries; the owner of the latter also owns a restaurant 5 minutes drive away from the property, in the village of Kremenje. This restaurant is one of the best Istrian restaurants, offering local specialties, many of them based on truffles. A short walk away from the house, you wll also find a good restaurant and a small supermarket.
Groznjan and Motovun, charming hilltop towns rich with cultural events, are between 20 and 30 minutes drive away. The beautiful coastal town of Rovinj is a 45 minutes drive and the resort town of Porec with the Unesco protected monument Euphrashiana is 35 minutes. Novigrad, a coastal town with a lovely marina and numerous fish restaurants is 20km away. We recommend restaurants Mandrac, Pepenero and famous Damir & Ornella, all in the centre.
