The coast and islands around Split are unbeatable. A villa near Split allows you to see a wide variety of fantastic scenery, beautiful islands, and historic architecture. Split itself has a fascinating centre as well as an attractive “Riva” by the sea where you can relax in bars or enjoy several excellent restaurants. However Split is really the jumping off point to either explore North to Trogir and the coast towards Primosten and the Krka National Park, or South to the seaside resorts of Omis, Makarska and Brela. You must however consider going to any of the islands in the Split archipelago.
